Monthly UIF declarations
Keep your UIF employee declarations current without handing over the payroll function. We work from the employee and remuneration information you provide, prepare the declaration and submit it through authorised practitioner access.
Authority first. ProperSA acts only after the employer has given the appropriate limited authority. We use authorised practitioner or delegated access for UIF work; Compensation Fund representation may require a Power of Attorney.
What we can handle
- Add and maintain employee records from the information you provide.
- Update commencement, termination, remuneration and employment details where uFiling permits.
- Prepare and submit the monthly employer declaration.
- Check submission status and flag administrative issues that need employer action.
Your role as the employer
You remain responsible for complete, accurate and timely employee and payroll information. ProperSA does not calculate payroll, determine remuneration, or replace an accountant or payroll bureau.
Timing and Department requirements
Returns are due no later than the seventh of each month for the preceding month.
The normal service is remote. If the Department requires the employer, director or another authorised person to verify information, provide documents or attend in person, we will tell you and you remain responsible for that step.

Frequently asked questions
How much does monthly uif declarations cost?
The price depends on scope, so we quote in writing first. Government and authority fees are charged at cost on top where they apply.
What do you need from me?
The documents and details are listed on this page. You complete a short form in your client portal and upload them; we tell you before we invoice if anything is missing, not halfway through.
What if the work cannot be completed?
If you give us everything we ask for and we still fail to deliver what this page promises, we refund our fee; a refusal by the authority is not refundable.
Are you the authority, or a law firm?
No. ProperSA is an independent private company, not a government body, a law firm or a registered tax practitioner. We prepare and lodge paperwork under your written authority; the authority makes the decision.
This is administrative compliance support, not legal, accounting, payroll or tax-practitioner advice. Department decisions, account outcomes and turnaround times remain outside ProperSA’s control.
