What we will need from you

The point of this pack is that a bid is rejected on a missing document far more often than on price, so we gather everything before you need it.

Your company registration number, so we can confirm your CIPC status is clean before anything else.
Your income tax number, and whether you already hold a tax compliance PIN.
Your B-BBEE affidavit or certificate, or your turnover so we can prepare the affidavit.
A bank confirmation letter in the exact registered name of the entity.
The commodities and regions you want to supply, for the supplier database profile.
The specific tender, if you are chasing one, because its document list overrides any general checklist.

Update, 2026: online RFQ evaluation

Since 1 April 2026, requests for quotations (RFQs) on the Central Supplier Database that do not need an evaluation committee can be evaluated online. Suppliers respond to RFQs on CSD under the My RFQ menu, and an RFQ will not be awarded to a supplier whose compliance indicators show non compliant. Registration on CSD remains free (Treasury fact sheet for suppliers on RFQ online evaluation, 23 June 2026).
