NCCA membership application
NCCA membership is voluntary, but customers and tenders often use it as evidence that a cleaning contractor has its labour, insurance and statutory records in order. We prepare the membership application and give you a plain checklist for every prerequisite. The NCCA makes the membership decision.
NCCA membership application costs R2 490 at ProperSA. That is our fixed service fee with the CIPC fees included. If you give us everything we ask for and we still fail to deliver what this page promises, we refund our fee; a refusal by the authority is not refundable.

What we need from you
- CIPC registration documents and director identities
- Proof of cleaning business activity or the startup plan
- Current COIDA letter of good standing where employees are already working
- B-BBEE and tax compliance documents
- Public liability insurance details
- Provident fund or bargaining council records where applicable
What this service does not do
ProperSA is independent and is not the NCCA. Membership is voluntary and the association decides whether to accept an application. Our price excludes NCCA fees, insurance premiums, provident fund contributions and work needed to correct missing registrations.
Frequently asked questions
Is NCCA membership compulsory?
No. It is an industry membership, not a government business licence. A customer or tender may still make membership a commercial requirement.
Can a new business apply without cleaners yet?
The NCCA says a startup can apply if the membership criteria are met. It may receive a letter of membership rather than the compliance certificate issued after employing cleaners and completing the audit.
Are NCCA fees included?
No. The association and any insurer or fund charge their own amounts. We show those separately before submission.
Where this comes from
The NCCA states that contractor membership considers provident fund registration, COIDA good standing and public liability cover, and that companies with cleaners undergo a compliance audit. NCCA membership requirements →
Rules, forms and authority fees can change. We confirm the current requirement against the responsible authority before a paid submission.
