Compensation Fund account assistance
For an account that needs attention rather than a standard registration or renewal, we review the issue, confirm the practical route and handle the administrative submission and follow-up where authorised.
Authority first. ProperSA acts only after the employer has given the appropriate limited authority. We use authorised practitioner or delegated access for UIF work; Compensation Fund representation may require a Power of Attorney.
What we can handle
- Request account statements and clarify visible balances.
- Prepare registered-detail or business-description updates.
- Assist with assessment, account administration and payment-allocation queries.
- Prepare supporting information for the appropriate Department route.
Your role as the employer
Complex accounts, audits, assessments and payment allocations vary substantially. We review the matter first and issue a written quote before work starts.
Timing and Department requirements
A Power of Attorney may be required when ProperSA represents the employer before the Compensation Fund.
The normal service is remote. If the Department requires the employer, director or another authorised person to verify information, provide documents or attend in person, we will tell you and you remain responsible for that step.
How to start
- 1Tell us the issueSend the employer name, UIF or Compensation Fund reference if available, and a short description of what needs attention.
- 2We confirm the scopeWe identify the documents, authority and practical route, then give you a written quote.
- 3Authorise the workOnce the scope and authority are in place, we handle the agreed administration and keep you updated.
Frequently asked questions
How much does compensation fund account assistance cost?
The price depends on scope, so we quote in writing first. Government and authority fees are charged at cost on top where they apply.
What do you need from me?
The documents and details are listed on this page. You complete a short form in your client portal and upload them; we tell you before we invoice if anything is missing, not halfway through.
What if the work cannot be completed?
If you give us everything we ask for and we still fail to deliver what this page promises, we refund our fee; a refusal by the authority is not refundable.
Are you the authority, or a law firm?
No. ProperSA is an independent private company, not a government body, a law firm or a registered tax practitioner. We prepare and lodge paperwork under your written authority; the authority makes the decision.
This is administrative compliance support, not legal, accounting, payroll or tax-practitioner advice. Department decisions, account outcomes and turnaround times remain outside ProperSA’s control.
