Company share register cleanup
A company can be correctly registered at CIPC while its internal ownership records are incomplete. Banks, buyers and compliance checks increasingly ask for the securities register and share certificates behind the beneficial ownership filing. We rebuild the standard record from the evidence you have and show any gap that needs legal help.
Company share register cleanup costs R1 490 at ProperSA. That is our fixed service fee; government and authority fees are charged at cost on top. If you give us everything we ask for and we still fail to deliver what this page promises, we refund our fee; a refusal by the authority is not refundable.

What this service does not do
This service records ownership supported by documents. It does not decide a shareholder dispute, create evidence or give legal advice. Estates, trusts, preference shares, custom MOIs, missing consideration or disputed transfers require a separate quote and may need an attorney or company-law specialist.
Frequently asked questions
Is a share certificate the same as the securities register?
No. A certificate is evidence issued to a holder. The securities register is the company’s continuing record of all issued securities and holders.
Can you resolve a disagreement about who owns the shares?
No. We stop and refer disputed ownership for legal advice.
Does CIPC keep my full share register?
No. A private company keeps its own securities register. The beneficial ownership filing is a separate CIPC compliance record.
Where this comes from
The Companies Act requires a company to maintain a securities register. CIPC beneficial ownership filing does not replace that internal record. Companies Act 71 of 2008 →
Rules, forms and authority fees can change. We confirm the current requirement against the responsible authority before a paid submission.
